[Jecht wakes up on Thursday to the first morning in what seems like far too long without hazmats wandering the streets and people panicking in their homes. After peering out the window to see Mayfield back to what passes for normal, he slumps back into bed, lying there and staring up at the ceiling as he reflects on the events of the past week.

"Hey there, kid."

[Pats her on the head, ruffling her hair.]

"How ya doin'?"

I'm okay~ Vayne's here now~! And the scary men in suits are gone. That wasn't fair that they cheated like that.

The teddy bear England gave me got ruined, though~ [It's somewhat of a moot point, since she doesn't have the Mana of Life back yet, anyway, but-]

"Good. Glad to hear it. Take today off practice, unless you feel like it. I'm not gonna be there."

[He looks utterly drained of energy.]

[Dist is out in the front yard, just sitting. He appears somewhat relaxed, and there are parts scattered around in front of him, the beginnings of a small project to build something or other. Sol is even there, chasing after grasshoppers.

Truly, Dist is just relieved(temporarily) that things have gone back to normal. Of course, earlier he'd been mightily angry that the chance for revenge against the hazmats had eluded him, but after a while he'd relaxed somewhat. Oh, he'd still have his revenge, but striking out at the tools - hazmats - when he could instead focus on the ones wielding those tools - that is, Grady and the mayor - seemed unsatisfactory when he thought about it. And those two won't be disappearing overnight like their monsters.]

[Moseys on by after walking past the kitchen window, and gives a small wave.]

[Dist lifts a hand in a lazy wave.]

[A pause.]

You know, I was starting to doubt that those things would ever be gone.
