I've often said that I will refuse to call myself bard until I have earned the title - not by my own measure but by the acclaim of others. For my persona and my time period that's a pretty bold title to claim and I do not feel like a bard. I know I tend to make light of the things I've done (and the people nodding in agreement can shut up now)
