Tonight i was scanning MySpace profiles and found someone that i worked with last fall on Othello. she has since moved to another state. she was always doing beauty pageants and into preppy things like shoes and pretty hair and the general pageant type stuff. and she never seemed to like me. and i could never figure out why. i know my poems seem... That post has a powerful message, well messages. Just well-written.

How are we supposed to accept (and forgive) those that we do not get along with or have judgements about?

And especially when they have not showed a kindness towards us before they decide whether they like us or not?

It's fear. Fear of accepting something that she is not commonly supposed to accept and finding that it still holds true is rough.

You've both won in your own minds, you have recognized that she still has a lot to learn and she has won because she is still putting forth her own perfect image of herself.

And you don't seem like a sketchy townie to me.

I am reading a great book called Letters to a Young Artist by Anne Deavere Smith. I recall her stressing how important it is to include Trust in our lives. She heard Jessi Jackson giving a speech during which he kept chanting "Keep Hope Alive!" She thought about that speech for days and wrote in her book that even though hope is important, the one thing that seems to be lacking in our world today is Trust ( ... )
