ooc: Possibly the very last infopost on the bandwagon
I did however try to post it a few days ago but LJ ate most of it and I felt discouraged. Also, I have no new characters, so I'll rely on copy and paste with added updates.
Sov Thade Tage em Ereb child_of_rer
My only character on the island!
Sov is a sixteen year old from the planet of Gethen in Ursula LeGuin's Ekumen universe. The Gethenians are human but differ from most other groups of the species in one way: they are hermaphrodites. In this case this means that for most of the time they are non-gendered and only for a few days a month, depending on a hormonal cycle, they become either male of female, and it is only during this phase, called kemmer, that they are sexually active. So, every individual have the possibility of being both a mother and a father. On Gethen, some people are constantly male or female due to hormonal dysfunction or for some other reason, but they face prejudice and are considered perverts. Sov is aware that the Gethenians are unique in this respect and will expect "aliens" to be constantly gendered. The won't mind being referred to as either male or female.
Sov has been in Fandom for a year, and is getting used to the odd things happening, and has made a few friends, although not very close ones. They work at Stark Industries on Thursdays. Other than that they are a normal teenager with no special abilities of any kind. They enjoy tinkering with electronics, but rarely manages to actually repair anything.
Leto Atreides II future_sandworm
Leto as ruled as Emperor of the Known Universe for eight years, ascending the throne with his sister Ghanima (atreideslioness) after seizing the power from their possessed aunt Alia. Leto and Ghanima, and Alia as well, were born with all the memories of their ancestors, like living entities inside them. The twins managed to avoid Abomination, that is possession by an ancestor. They both found ways to control the lives inside.
Also, Leto is no longer human. Through prescient vision (it's a family thing) he saw that humanity was heading towards extinction, and that the solution to this was the Golden Path. The precise details of this became clear to him when he endured the Spice Trance and he merged with sandtrouts, the haploid form of the great sandworms. Over the course of almost four millennia he will gradually transform into a sandworm himself. This will enable him to rule the universe over a longer period of time than any human, and with the memories of all human civilization before. He'll explain the reason for this if anyone asks, but it doesn't quite make sense to me either. Anyway, anyone able to pick up on the not human thing would be able to do so. He's not trying to hide it. Most of his body is also covered with sandtrout skin (as seen on some of his icons) with is visible enough. He's also very fast, very strong and virtually unkillable. Hopefully he won't annoy anyone so much that they want to try.
The past year has been eventful for Leto. He's now informally married to Alice Liddell (notyourpawn) and they have a daughter named Hania. He had never expected to have a family like this, and even if he'll outlive them by millennia he's grateful for their presence in his life.
River Tam moonbrain_tam
I've played River for a long time now. She started out as the crazy girl who made friends in Fandom and who went through the events of Serenity the movie with people from Fandom. Then she met Kerrigan (on_her_korhal), who became a mentor and mother figure, and when Kerrigan turned evil she kidnapped River and turned her into a zerg-human hybrid, like herself (Is this becoming a thing with my characters?!). So now River is entirely focused on helping Kerrigan take over the world and while doing so kill things in a very dancelike way (if she mentions dancing it can refer to either actual dancing or killing things). She also killed her brother Simon when he insisted she came back to their universe with him. This has caused some conflicting emotions, so she prefers to keep herself busy. Now and then she visits Fandom, mostly to spy for Kerrigan. She does have a soft spot for anyone who dances well with her, though.

I'm Sanna, I live in Sweden and because of this I have availability issues. RL does not permit me to stay up late, most of the time.
