After much haggling with all of the bridal salon attendants, we finally managed to negotiate a deal in regards to my wedding dress. This is all a bunch of useless information, but I originally had ordered this Stephen Yearick dress which looks just fine on the model but lo and behold, when the dress came in and I tried it on, I was utterly appaled ( Read more... )

I absolutely love your dress!!! I tried on one similar to that when I got married, but I went for a simple, yet elegant look and chose an all white dress. (Oleg Cassini)

Here are a few photos of my dress:

I cannot wait to see your final dress and hair and everything! The color of that dress just flatters you so well! I'm so excited for you!

Thanks for the fantastic compliments! I love your dress as well--you look really beautiful and you two make such a great couple. =D I'm still debating on how I should wear my hair...

I ended up just doing a fancy bun because I wanted something that was going to last the entire day and evening. We got married on July 31, 2004, so it was really really hot outside. So you should definitely think about the weather! Because you want your hair to stay in place!

Thanks - that is great advice. :) I think I might end up going with a half up-half down do. My hairdresser tells me that's what's "in" for weddings now (not that I CARE what's 'in'), but it seems like it might be the most efficient. Or else I'll just wear it in a complete updo. I guess we'll see. (And you bet I'll be posting pictures!)

That is a really lovely dress.

The embroidered leaves are a really nice touch.

Thanks Jason! :) Yeah, I haven't really talked about it much at all. On our wedding (this October) we'll have been together approx. 2-and-a-half-years. I know it doesn't seem like a long time, but I think my biological clock ticks faster than most people's. lol.

2 1/2 years is a long time I think. :)

October will be a lovely month to wed. :)

TYVM :) We calculated it so that the wedding (it's outdoors) would be happening right at sunset. Hopefully there will be no rain!
