I was a flower girl at two weddings. Wore the same dress to both for some reason. I was 7 and 8. This was back in the mid 1980s. It was a long dress that had a waistline. It had sleeves. It had flowers. It was pink.

I just hate how saturated with sexuality everything is these days. I blame it on the media and bad parenting.

Maybe you could make the dresses? I don't know if you had time, but I know some do that since the selection for little girls is...less than desirable.

I remember when I was a flower girl, I was 5 years old and they made a mini-bridesmaid dress for me (which were conserative, blue dresses with poofy shoulders, and looked very appropriate on a child or adult).

I am having mine and my bridesmaids dresses made.
I have my eye on one dress I found for my little ones, but I think they might have been discontinued. I am waiting to hear back. If they have, I might have them made.

Awwww...little flower girl Lyn!!! I want to see pictures ^.^

Yeah, it's really disguisting.

I'm in NYC so their are stores everywhere, the problem is that while yes, private boutiques do tend to have nicer clothes, they are also much more expensive.

Maybe my family is just that ghetto but when we have flower girls, they usually wear a swing dress (I think that's what it's called; something not fitted in the upper body) in a floral pattern in the wedding party colors. It seems kind of weird to me that the flower girls' dresses are all in solid colors, and that the models are as old as 12 and 14.
