"Psychic" tells me I'll have kids

I stayed at my parents' place in Florida for Christmas. Some of their friends came over for Christmas Day. There's this one woman who mom says is psychic. She "reads" people and whatnot. She, my mom, my brother and his girlfriend are outside by the front door chilling when the discussion turns to not having kids. My brother had said on many ( Read more... )

A psychic told my mother years ago that I would have a son- still nothing here XD
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

A "psychic" told my mom when she was in her early 20s that she wouldn't live to see 30 and mom tells me that she spent the rest of her 20s living in fear, thinking she'd die any day. She just turned 84 in December.

And three or four years ago a "psychic" also told me that I was going to have kids. Several of them. Only thing is, I had a hysterectomy just over ten years ago.

They just don't make psychics like they used to.

>>> They just don't make psychics like they used to.

Some psychics have some prejudices reflexed in what they see. It wouldn't be a surprise if the one who made this sort of prediction ("you will have kids...") had something against not having them, assuming that to give birth is the only way in which you can become a "mother" or a "father". What's a mother or a father but someone who takes care of a younger and helpless one in a long term? You don't need to literally breed to become like this. You don't even need to adopt a kid. It's more than enough if you inspire someone, if you you are there for them, if they look up to you and if together you make something bigger (which could be virtually ANY kind of project...). Maybe that's what this psychics saw. But if they were actually parents, I bet it's hard to suck up the fact that childfree people can get what they want with their "children", without going through their troubles. It's far much easy to just say that you will have "kids", meh.

I consulted my tarot deck. The cards said, "LOL! Nope."

What a coincidence, my magic eight ball says "Hell no."

Maybe she's like an Aunt Clara psychic and you'll end up with two baby goats.

Haha! Yes. I'd love two baby goats. In pajamas.

I'm a psychic, and let me tell you, that person is a nut. If you "see" two kids, it doesn't necessarily mean kids. It could be pets. It could be someone you mentor. I had one psychic tell me I would have kids and I was like, "Um, no." She then started off on a tangent about how it was some past life trauma. I laughed and ended the session. Some people can't see past their own prejudices. Being psychic, it just means you have to filter things through your own perspective, and sometimes that's faulty. But if you tell a person something and it doesn't ring true for them, then the person should stop that track, because they're probably reading someone else.

Yeah, I don't disbelieve(that's a word, right?) in psychics, I've had some moments where I was thinking of friends right before they called, etc. Most of the time, I see people who proclaim they're psychic, they mostly bullshit. It's not cool for everyone legit, you know?
