A couple of days ago Emily and I went to Birdworld

It was nice and wet so there was hardly anyone there. Firstly we went to the underwater part of Birdworld, which didnt house any birds whatsoever. We saw some Piranhas and a Soft Shelled Tortoise that looked this ths one, except uglier.

Tortoises like that one traditionally live in the muddy parts of places like Florida. I'm glad they don't advertise hideous animals like that or i wouldn't have gone.

Next we went through teh park and to the Jenny Wren's Petting Zoo. There we got to touch various farm animals, which was a novel experience. Unfortunatly Em's didn't have her camera with her or she would have had a piture of me with a cow! We also had a couple of goats fight each other for a "cheese and onion slice" which we proceeded to eat once we had left them.

There was also a really cute black baby rabbit with one perky ear and one floopy ear. It was quite possibly the cutest and tamest animal in existance, it made me sick with rage at having such a disfigured face.

Afterwards we browsed the park properly. We saw the peguins being fed by a man named Ian, which was fun, and learnt all about them including why their distinctive black and white markings are, in fact, a highly effective camoflage. I would tell you all why, except then i wouldn't be able to laugh with hilarity when a penguin sneaks up on you and judo chops you.

Soon after the Penguins were fed we saw Ian, who we were by now on first name terms with, feed the birds of prey. It was cool. A snow Owl hissed at me. There were some old ladies walking aroud with us and Ian was telling us about Snow Owl mating habits and how the femal was in control. This was usually followed by the old ladies making some smug unfunny remark about how women are in control and they know what that's like. I felt like saying "You go girlfriends" before biting their faces off.

However, the highlight of the day was meeting "Aussie" the Laughing Kookaburra. He looked like the one below.

Ian taught me and Emily how to talk to him and how to make him laugh. So, if anyone wants to go to Birdworld we can and i will show you the trick. Aussie rules.

I brought a badge and a pack of Pumpkin seeds.
