it feels strange to write again... it elates me and utterly terrifies me at the same time; because when i am able to write is when i feel the most alone.
i really like this part. the almost alleteration makes you pay attention. this is really good, its got a lotta body to it, ya know? not hollow writing its full. anyway, i dunno if people still go on this. i rarely do. and also you say that you write when you are alone? how've you been? its been so long since i've talked to you.. i feel like a stranger.... amor, erika
I read this. I think my favorite part of the poem is the last line. That's all you hear the guy say in the entire poem, and it tells you everything you need to know. Apathy breaks hearts.
I hope that you keep writing in your livejournal and if not that, definitely keep writing in some other medium, a private diary or a school newspaper or what not. Just from reading from your journal, it's apparent that you've got a real talent for it. Most of the Inglemoor kids have stopped writing in their livejournals, and I hope that you don't become one of them. It's a shame that that little community fell off.
And what you wrote at the beginning of your entry rings true for me too. I write when I feel the most alone as well. Is that a good or bad thing? I don't know. But writing, when you feel alone, brings out a certain sort of truth that you, at least for me, can rarely express at any other time. Good luck at college, and I hope we bump into each other during winter and summer breaks.
