This happens to my kids ALL the time and I feel so bad about it. It seems like 75% of the time, the kids they attempt to play with blatantly ignore them/run away from them. And they arent doing anything wrong, just like Alex. They go up and introduce themselves and ask to play. My oldest gets really upset when the other kid does that. I have no idea why other kids are doing that either. I dont think I ever remember that happening to me when I was that age. My kids are really good on manners and if someone else asked to play with them they would accept them right away. If I saw my kid ignore/run away from some kid for no reason, they would be in trouble. I have no advice, I'm just as equally exasperated and you guys are not alone with this problem!
