they really didn't do much fighting in the book either. but what do u expect...it's a christian book/movie. i'm surprised they even visited the battlefield, instead of staying home and cooking in the kitchen.

You say Christian book/movie like all of them make women completely useless ... Not true, permit me to list some IMPORTANT biblical women: Deborah: leader of Israel, Jael: lured an enemy general into her tent and drove a stake through his brain, Queen Ester: prayed and beseeched the enemy kings to let the Israelites live in peace. And so on, and so on. Not all stayed at home and cooked.

i never said that the women were completely useless. but there are definitely different gender stereotypes. bow/dagger+healing vs swords.

i think your examples are interesting, they brought up some comparisons.

lucy's dagger - Jael's stake
sneaky weapons and similar killing methods

healing potion and praying?

i think swords imply a more chivalrous and standard type of battle.

"Massive three-story building, all glass walls opening to the outside on one quarter of the house, pond in their front yard, their back yard with open space, a creek, then an enormous desert going all the way to the foothills in front of Mammoth mountain."

That's somewhere in Bishop. Any idea where? You've told me how small it is, so maybe you'd remember?

Hope you're having a fun break. Narnia was actually a really cool movie :-)
