Abilities/Strengths: Asch can, to some extent, see the future, though not nearly as powerful as others can see through her. It simply gives her a slight edge in a fight because she will know how his opponent plans next to attack her.

Also, Asch is more than able with the sword, having been taught it while she was the son of Duke Fabre.

She is also capable of using fonic artes.

Weaknesses: The strongest of Asch's power has been sealed off: her hyperressonance. This often causes Asch agitation, because the loss of that is like the loss of a limb. It also makes using the seventh fonon painful for her, which is ironic given that she is the human embodiment of Lorelei.

Also, Asch is resentful of having been denied a normal life, and she hates to be reminded of the fact that she is nothing more than a pawn in a game of power.

History: The story of the Auldurant from which Asch comes from is vastly different than that of the original. Four thousand years ago, the world was consumed by the deadly miasma, and survival seemed slim. Humanity was giving up hope of anything ever returning to normal, or to a livable state.

At the point of all hope being lost, Yulia Jue seemed to come from nowhere. All children on Auldurant are currently told that she made a deal with Lorelei, the embodiment of the seventh fonon. And from that, Yulia created the Score, accurate and precise. She was also able to work miracles, it seemed, and was able to create an outer layer of land and water, free from the miasma.

However, the truth of the matter was that her Score, while intensely accurate, held a limited scope and range. She couldn’t give what she had promised the world, not all at once. And so, from there, she trapped Lorelei, binding him to a place of unknown origin, though it seemed to be nearest Daath, where she based her new order, the Order of Lorelei.

From then on, yearly, she, and after her death, her descendents, would read the Score for the world that year. Auldurant was reliant on her yearly words, while Lorelei grew more and more discomforted with his fate at the hands of Yulia.

Many years later, out of frustration and as a last resort, Lorelei created a human embodiment of himself, a child who was created many miles away from Daath, and taken in by the Fabre family for ten years, named Asch.

As all good things must come to an end, Asch was eventually found by the Order of Lorelei, which took her. Initially, they intended to kill her, but it was discovered that the Score could be read from her aid as easily as though she were Lorelei himself. Thus, they took precautions and sealed away her hyperressonance, and replicated her, before sending her away to another part of the world, to a city called Template. However, they discovered that the replica was male, and thus named him Luke.

However, with the sealing of her hyperressonance, reading the Score became painful for Asch, and she began to resent it more and more. The people who used her for their yearly score changed every so often, however there was one that Asch grew extremely fond of-a princess from the land of Kimlasca.

While Asch was isolated, she did see Luke every so often, at Daath. Luke, unlike Asch, was emboldened by her duty to the Order of Lorelei, to where she often seemed out of touch with the world whose future she was being used to predict.
