is any one else doing this campaign? i've had my material for about 2 weeks now, and i have no clue how to ask for donations! i was thinking of posting in a bulletin and forums on myspace. also on my livejournal, but i'm not sure how to word whati want to say right. i could just copy out the letter i'm supposed to put in the envelopes to send

I think posting it on MySpace.com and stuff is a great idea. Did you think about setting up a PayPal link, so that people can donate over the Internet? Have you tried posting a flier with your phone number on it at work/school/church (if you attend one)? If you make it clear that even one or two dollars is a step toward your goal, people are usually willing to donate. Heck, I'll donate a couple bucks if you have a PayPal account. It's for a great cause, right? :-)

thanks. i don't have a paypal account though :( no bank account and i can't set a paypal account up with my credit union account. but i'll do the bulletin on myspace; hopefully have it up by the end of today. i'll check yours out too. i prefer posting my email vs phone number. i can track track emails better and not miss anything in them. but since i have 2 weeks to go i need to do this! and you're right even $2-3 is helpful! i've donated to a lot of charities and causes with $5-10 myself.
