Hi, everyone! I noticed there haven't been any posts in this community for a while, so I just thought I'd ask how everyone is doing, and of course how your sponsored children are doing

Hello there! Nice to see activity in this community again :D
I've been sponsoring a little boy from Ecuador for about five months now, but since he's too young to write letters, (he's two, turns three on December 18th) his mom is the one who's been writing them.
I've actually gotten three letters so far this year, but that's because I went crazy with sending him gifts, letters and e-mails. I'm thinking of sponsoring a little girl this time as well :)
I've also received more letters than the two per year that Children International guarantees, it's great to hear that's not such a rare experience. :) What kind of gifts have you sent to your little boy? Donations, or gifts that you bought yourself? :)
I have a girl, Anusha, from Sri Lanka (she's 12, will be 13 in December) and I get emails from her pretty regularly and also from the site liasion. I really love the company I work with (Orphan Sponsorship International) too, as they keep me updated on where my money goes with a monthly statement.
The little girl (Sarah) that I was sponsoring at a school in Nairobi through )Angel Covers for the past year unfortunately didn't return to the school this past January, so I've spent the last several months between sponsorships... after a very long, heart-wrenching decision, I finally decided to start sponsoring a 4 year old boy who attends the same school in Kenya. He has chronic bronchitis and his face was just so precious... he needs medical attention and warm clothing and he just stole my heart. :) I've only been sponsoring him since August, so I'll probably update once I know more. :)
Thank you. :) I'm thrilled about this new sponsorship, he really is the such a little angel his photograph. And after having seen what bronchitis can do to a fully grown adult woman in a society with full healthcare and heated homes, etc., the idea of a 4 year old, underfed boy from some of the worst and largest slums in the world... just killed me

I sponsor Fabiola through Children International. She is from Ecuador and just turned 9 last month. She is doing really well it seems :) I hope I will be able to meet her someday :)
i have to wait until i get steady employment again before i can resume sponsoring kids :( *sniffles* but i've sponsored with children international, save the children, and christian children's fund so far. save the children and christian children's fund when i used them because i asked several programs if they did native american child sponsorship and those two said yes :) i wanted to help some of the poorest in my own country ss well as in other countries...
I remembering reading some of your past posts about losing your sponsored children. :( But I think it's really admirable that child sponsorship is such a priority for you. :) Best of luck finding that steady employment! :)
