Ages ago (like, YEARS) I'd posted a photo of my hands, and it ended up hotlinked on a BB as an example of 'typical dyke hands'. I was discussing this with childthursday today as I was discussing my website and my desire to do some tutorials (with photos) dykey looking hands came up, and we wtfed on it a bit, whislt realising it was ultimately a sexist/classist thing.
*nods* I'd come across that, though I'd never heard it had to specifically be the right hand. My right hand is exactly the same, my left hand my ring finger is a tiny smidge longer.
I put WTF for A and B because I already saw the answers in Fin's post. I'm curious about this too. I've heard some of the theories on this...one being a longer ring finger means 'Testosterone was here'.
I have long ring fingers and I'm asexual. The studies do say 'testosterone was here' is only part of the equasion and not an actual definitive answer if someone is straight, gay, bi, or ace. Many gay men do have 'female-typical' finger lenghts, but many gay men also have 'male-typical' finger lenghts. I've only heard of the studies using men and finger-lenghts...I am curious to see how finger lenghts work with females.
