If she's not staying at the hotel, then that should automatically block her from taking the car...This isn't a vacation, its a business trip. Sure you're allowed a little fun, but you're not suppossed to go dilly dallying with the boyfriend, especially since there's only one car for two people...sounds like a major airhead...
I'm sorry they have you on the second shift, I know you were looking forward to sightseeing, so hopefully next week they'll switch you? Have you thought about taking a bus on your own to tour the town, then make your way to work?
Or maybe you have and thats not an option...i hate it when people suggest things that I already thought of, so if you already thought of that, then strike my comment off the record...
