Ok so I posted an ad to Craigslist and I should have known better. I posted an ad for an english lit tutor. I mean the ad is totally all about a tutor and what I can tutor in english and whatnot. Anway I got a reply today with just a number to call. So I blocked my cell and called. I got this freak of a young sounding kid telling me it was for ( Read more... )

When TGFU and I posted an ad looking for apartments, we had mentioned certain requirements. Out of the dozen people who responded, do you know how many actually had an apartment that was either within walking distance to the metro, or one bedroom even?

That's right - not one!

So we reposted - and I got really snippy, because these people were wasting my time. I got even more replies - all claiming to have the apartment that fit our requirements blah blah blah...How many of those emails, in which the people quoted our post, actual had something worth checking out -

that's right - none!

People are always shouting the wonders of craigslist. I have yet to find anything worthwhile on craigslist.

Though the missed connections and best of are always good for a laugh!

Well in terms of jobhunting it's been really good for me. When we had to give up Ramses it was really good, I found several people willing to take him in and the girl who did was one of the first ones to respond to the ad. We got our second cat now, Sophia, off Craigslist, but I think she's going bye bye this weekend. I posted about being and English tutor and right b/4 school started again and I started the second job, I got some real hits... and Frank too for his Painting ad. So it has overall been a good experience for me. Frank got tons of interviews off that thing. Other than that one incident, I haven't had any problems with it..... I love Craigslist....woohoo.
