Okay, how could you not fall for that? I know I would. I completely get how Laura, while in love with Bill, could begin to fall for someone who treats her as the woman she is, not the title which she had. I've often thought how incredibly lonely her position would have to be. How the simple touch of another human could warm her heart. As a single mother, I totally get the need for touch. And since Bill keeps hiding behind honor and position, she is being pursued, quite successfully, by another. I'm really liking Kalin and hope if she does end up back with Bill--more finally with Bill--that he isn't portrayed as an evil person, or Cylon. Seems killing him might be an option. ;-) Anyway, I rambled. Excellent fic and I'm liking the pairing, much as I thought I would hate it. And it's keeping me from writing my own, so that's even better!

Right now I've gotten poor Laura off NC----oooppsss! spoiler. sorry. Anyway, as of now its more of finding the desire to write as opposed to the ability. I'm very easily--and happily I'll admit--distracted. The grime in my keyboard is especially interesting on some days. But back to Laura, I think her decision to be alone is what attracts me to the character, as I to tend to be a loner. I love people, but on my terms and not on a daily basis. Still, the need for human contact is very real and one aspect I try to apply in my job as a nurse. Again, I rambled, but I'm so loving this aspect on Laura's loves that I can't help it. Course the fact that my legal, given name is Laura Caroline kinda doomed me to the fandom, don't you think? ;-)
