Don't worry. I have qualms about Twilight too. I thought I was the only one out there to see the 10 million plot holes and what not. Gah. It blows me away how badly that book is written. Not that I can write better, but I'm not the one who's published.
My eyes were watering reading that thing. I kept thinking, "don't worry, the good part is about to come." BUT it never came.
The movie was...okay, at best. Cinematography sucked (And I was expecting some juicy eye-candy--not pleased). Whoever wrote that screenplay needs a good whack over the head. I thought the girl who played Bella was simply horrible.
That is absolutely true! That happened to me too (-points to edited version of my review above-). As I've said, it's way too monotonous but I have to give credit to the fight scene. It's quite typical but at least, it was able to catch my attention.
And yeah. That is true. The movie is utter crap. The fight scene was ruined by the cinematography. Aside from that, I wanted to scream "I thought that the vampires were supposed to be devastatingly handsome! Why are they all plain-looking?"
I think that the even the director lacked talent. On the part wherein Bella was supposed to flirts with Jacob, she seemed like a socially-awkward girl.
Wow flamings =D Though I'm quite into the story I have to agree that there's nothing much about the plot compared to - Ahem - Some of the fanfictions out there =3
LOL, I don;t really want to think of this as a flame. It's more of a constructive criticism. After all, I do admit that both the movie and the book have good points. It's just that the horrible flaws outweigh them - badly. :))
And yeah. A whole lot of fan fictions are way better than Twilight. Take for example "I'm in Love with a Plumber" by Aesha. Despite the fact that Syaoran and Edward are both portrayed as perfect men (although Syaoran has some flaws so he's technically not completely perfect), Syaoran's character is way better because he manages to string wit and humor in his dialogues. Edward, on the other hand, despite his so-called charming looks, charisma, and gentlemanly attitude, is a complete bore to me. After all, complete perfection would always be something boring (at least for me).

It had so much potential. That's all I can say.
