Today I undertook the daunting task of bringing 120 first grade students to the Shedd Aquarium. I'd say overall the trip was a success! No major setbacks other than some blocked exits. The kids had a really good time, and I did, too! My first field trip was a hit ( Read more... )

What's new in my life, you ask?

Well, it's MARCH! My most favorite month. This month is going to be swell, I can just feel it. I'm going on a field trip with my class. My teaching and classroom management is improving every day. Things with the bf are going well. Let's talk about these things piece by piece.

Updates on my life!

I'm loving student teaching. My kids make me laugh every day. I had a REALLY good day yesterday as far as classroom management and I was very proud of myself! Today was not as great because we had a sub - and of course the kids were nutso for that reason. New plan: To permenantly cease all mention of Zach. Whether it is in telling an old story, comparing him to Matt, complaining endlessly about him ... it ends today.

I think that the concept of "soulmates" is ludicrous. I don't think that there is someone who is "meant for you" and that no one else is. I've said this before, but what if your soulmate was in Russia? Or born in 1602? I think that you can feel like someone is perfect for you, and that is fine with me. Feel what you want. Things are contining to progress smashingly with my new "beau" as they say.

So I hung out with Matt Reynolds last night.

He came over to my house a little after 11 and didn't leave until after 4 in the morning... that is pretty late. We watched a little Flight of the Conchords, kissed a bit, but mostly we talked.
