Terrible cellphone pic is terrible. It fits the model better than the dressform :P This thing does not believe in corseted hourglass shapes. I'd wear it for photos, but the fake boobs do not fit in the bra with my real boobs, so I cannot fill out the chest ( Read more... ) -
progress: I have the plague
I feel like crap ;___; My throat is sore, I have a fever, and my muscles all hurt. However, I seem to have avoided the coughing death part of this illness that Kevin has suffered from. Guess my lungs are too full of dust and paint for viruses to live there. Either that or I'm just really used to repressing my cough reflex.

progress: Ash vest is DONE!

Frickin' sewing machine decided to crap out on me, so I had to do all the buttonholes by hand :<
Fabric is the same as the satin I used last time, I dyed it slightly darker. It's faced with the old, lighter satin and lined with cotton voile. Came out pretty good for first button closures and no pattern.
Now, onto the pants! -

progress: trimming feathers, watching xxxHolic
I got my feathers from Swalef and Son on Friday. They're pretty good quality, out of the ~275 per pound only 10 are really unusable. It takes me about 2.5 hours to trim a pound of them. Unfortunately, they still smell kind of like port-a-potty disinfectant :/ Once they're trimmed up I'm going to stick them into a wire basket on my fire escape ( Read more... ) -

progress, and musings on travelling with wings
So, looks like I'm going to be taking my Ash wings to Katsucon by bus :/ This is Kind Of A Problem, by which I mean: these suckers are almost 6 feet wide without the feathers on them. They're not socketed, and their only posability is what's intrinsic to the armature (chainlink fence wire). I can fold them together backwards, which brings my ( Read more... ) -

Kuroshitsuji Progress: In which I win the Moron of the Week Award
Y'know all that time I spent dicking around with trying to make a coat pattern? Y'know how I have no muslin left because I wasted it trying to get the panels right?
