Hi everyone! I've been very busy of late, and using all of my writing energy elsewhere. But I wanted to let you know that I'll be speaking about open collaboration, learning, and One Laptop Per Child next Tuesday at 1:30pm at the WikiSym conference in Mountain View. I'd love to come to this talk, and will gladly play hookey from work for it. I'm also friends with Heather and have seen her speak previously about wikipedia. However, I don't have $275 to drop on a conference, especially for only one talk. You don't happen to have comp tickets or know how chill they are about me crashing one talk?

It's a great question, but unfortunately I don't have a good answer. I, personally, would welcome crashers -- the more the merrier! -- but I'll ask around and get back to you with what I find out.

I have been told by others involved, "I'm not officially condoning anything, but I happen to know there have been people in the past who got overstayed their one-day passes ..." -- so I think we can swing it. :~)
