what does it take to make me cry?... an act of God

tonight at church something happened. and i'm no quite sure what exactly but there was an altar call done by a visiting pastor. he prayed that we would receive a God's dream for our lives. i went up immediately. it was always a desire of mine to be useful to anyone. and who better to be useful for than God? so i'm there and i'm praying and singing ( Read more... )

It's so amazing how when we let ourselves be consumed by Him, and not what is around us He shows his face. Having a true encounter with God is the most amazing thing to ever happen. I'm so happy for you!

that is innnsane. its incredibly interesting to me because i'm not religious like at all. i went to church when I was little and ccd every saturday and around 5th grade my parents gamme the decision to continue on or stop so I stopped. I didn't believe in god at a very young age. I've only been to church a few times since then, maybe a couple of times around christmas w/my parents, for some weddings & funerals and stuff like that. I have tried really hard tho to get into it only because I think if you can be religious w/out being a maniac and you can not like believe in god but know that he does exist it can be really awesome and powerful. i'm not even being sarcastic so i'm sorry if this sounds weird. anyway alot of ppl believe in god but fear him at the same time and i'm totally against that. i'd like to think god is somebody who really has open arms and is full of forgivness but you can't take it for granted. i've tried so many times to get to something and to pray when things have been awful and see some sort of sign and even if i ( ... )
