since we're in the sharing mood i also really like paper planes by M.I.A. If you watched Slumdog Millionaire you probably heard it cuz they used it for the soundtrack. And it's been played a lot.
BTW have you watched Slumdog Millionaire? I really think you'd like that movie.
Yeah I liked Paper Planes cos it was so playful and silly. It reminded me of Fergie's Clumsy without not liking the lyrics. I haven't watched Slumdog Millionaire yet, but I did hear how Jon Stewart called Blagojevich Scumdog Millionhairs. ahahhaha.
I'm in love with La Noyée. I think I'll be listening to it on repeat while I'm stuck batch processing hundreds of animation frames this week. Les Bras de Mer is also amazing! I need to make a playlist of songs to fall asleep to, cause this needs to go on it.
When the Love Falls is beautiful. I have a secret love for piano pieces, but I've never really gone out of my way to find any mp3's, so this made me happy!
I'm not sure if I like the Kung Fu Hustle song with or without Huang Sheng Yi's voice better. Either way, thanks for the recs! I'm still listening to a couple songs you recced last time, specifically Buildings and Mountains and Homemade Bombs in the Afternoon. They're both on my most frequented playlist. :D
haha thanks..............*head swells up 100000x* I was meaning to make a reponse mix to the cd you made for me but I would always put way too much on it and I really need to whittle it down.
and I rec Chopin for piano pieces if you like classical music too (they used his work in The Pianist if you watched that). One of his pieces was even used as a DDR song HAHAH. It was Etude in C minor, Op 10, No 12. I also like Etude Op. 10-4 in A flat major (Nodame's Etude) (the vers played in Nodame no Cantibile, I don't have the original/dunno if it's drastically different).
I'm seriously liking Yann Teirsen! I remember watching Amelie when it came out, but I forgot how much I liked it. And how much I liked the soundtrack, apparently? I'll just have to watch it again.
Thank you for these! ..I would totally be excited for a response mix if you get around to it. Who says you have to whittle anything down? I am greedy. :D

Amelie has a LOT of beautiful piano pieces. Plus every good art student is totes in love with Audrey Tautou (accusing look) jkkk~ Here's some piano pieces I like from it:
Yann Tiersen - Comptine d´un autre été
Yann Tiersen - La Valse d'Amélie (piano version)
Yann Tiersen - J'y suis jamais allé not piano
