Are there no boats anymore? I think that would be the most fun mode of transportation. Unfortunately, it would also probably make me violently ill. But I would pretend it was romantic anyway.

That whole volcano thing stinks. It's all over the news here becuase a lot of international runners can't make it in for the marathon. :( How about flying the other way? Ya know circumnavigating the globe? J/k. All these possibilities pop into my head for stuck travelers, but not are really feasible. :\
