I'm revamping the cages since I finally got my metal pans in for my ferret nation...I'm so excited on how much easier it'll be to keep the cages clean

I'm about to try an aluminum baking pan, mostly because I don't want breakable glass in with them. But a lot of people seem to use the pyrex and like it a lot...my two girls would probably have it broken some how, hence the aluminum.
I tried the aluminum since I had spares laying around and they're working fine but it's kind of annoying that the chins just push it around where they want it (and then pee underneath it). Think I'll try something heavier soon.
I use the glass cassarole dish and keep it in the bottom corner of the cage (so it doesn't fall off a shelf or anything). It's heavy enough to not tip over or to be movable by feisty chins. It's been totally fine for years.
I got them from bassequipment.com. Other than one of the pans being dented when we got the package (which to us was no biggie, we just pounded it out), it was great. Shipped suuuuper fast.
Absolutely adore my Ferret Nation - best cage we've got and we've gone through a number of them.
