I like to compare it to sucking a thumb. A comfort thing? I'm glad that she's not the only one that does it.

My chin did this when I first got him..he was three and I had adopted him, he would sit in the corner and not so much chew but just put his mouth around the bars and sit there..I had forgot he did that until you mentioned it. after a year of having him I got him a much bigger cage and I have never seen him do it since
