My girl has been having some eye trouble lately so I took her to the vet. Apparently her teeth (checked with a scope, did not x-ray) and white blood cell count are ok, and her lungs sound fine

I've taken her to someone else at the same clinic who seemed to know more, but I'm not sure. There aren't many other exotics vets around. I guess I could call and ask, wouldn't hurt.
If there is an ulcer in that eye, the steroids (hydrocortisone) can make it worse. See if there's a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits, at least.
If they didn't do an eye stain, I don't think they'll know if she has an ulcer.
I urge you to seek the opinion of another vet.
In the mean time, try to keep your booger there comfy. I would keep dust bathing to a minimum until you see another vet.
They didn't do an eye stain, however, I think it might not be an ulcer because it was happening on both sides. Does that seem logical?
I talked to the vet today and they want me to give her baytril. I think I will give it a week or two and see if it gets any better before giving her anything else. I am scared of the systemic antibiotic.
Limiting baths may help...it's entirely possible she is keeping her eyes open while bathing or something. This girl is not smart. I have changed to a different dust and bedding and neither helped. I am worried it's an allergy.
I.... don't understand why they'd want to give an oral antibiotic for something that should be taken care of with an eye ointment.
It wouldn't hurt to get some plain ol' saline/artificial tears and rinse her eyes a little bit in case there's something in there that's irritating them.
I was trying to look at her eyes and noticed that the eye that looks worse is much more sensitive to light. She closed it when I shined the flashlight on that eye. I'm wondering if it's glaucoma or a cataract. Maybe she's just doing that symmetrical grooming out of habit and that's why both eyes are getting rubbed.
The fur around her eyes is growing back...I'm just not sure what to do if it happens again. It seemed to be inflaming her eyes too much, so I stopped the ointment and did not give her the systemic antibiotic either.
