Quick question!

How long should a chinchilla be without sand baths after giving birth? I've read conflicting things. My Six gave birth on the 18th.

I aim to leave it about a week :)

I waited 10 days her first litter, but now I wait a few days, start sprinkling about a tablespoon of dust on the floor to let her have a little face bath, and then after a week I'll let her have a real bath with not much dust.

And should I live the babies in the cage with as she takes the bath or do I take them out? I know she has to teach them how to bathe but I don't know if they should start now or not. This is my first litter so all full of doubts. lool

They won't even be interested in the bath until they're around 3-6 weeks old, so whatever works best for you is fine.

Chins are pretty good moms, haha.
