the end of a day, almost

We get up at about five every morning just so that we can hit the ground running and not drop the ball. At least that is what we tell ourselves. Brian goes to work and tries to maintain some level of control over the total chaos involved with the disestablishment of the base, while I stay home and try, bit by bit, to do the same here ( Read more... )

Mantra to remember : Moving is SUPPOSED to be stressful!!!!!!!

*grin*

My friend Kit doesn't have a gallbladder either. She eats fried food on a 'try it and see' basis. Minimally fatty things, obviously, but if I was you - give the livers a try and see if you can tolerate them. (Or not, because if you can't, you'll be sick)

Yeah, I just really do not have the time to be broken right now. Moving house across town is stressful. Moving house across the pond is off the chain. I am working hard to keep things as calm as possible. My goal is to have a normal life for as long as we can, or at least the semblance of one. I think that is important for Miss A.

Man, this sound like heavy mo-jo!

>> a cat that we have not seen in a month crept into
>> the house and delivered a litter of kittens in a
>> box in our Harry Potter cupboard under the
>> front stairs
So, you didn't have it speyed after last time, huh?

Damn, Chin, I'm sorry you're leaving these Isles;
1) Under such chaotic circumstances
2) Without you and I; and indeed many British SCAdians who aren't kentwellian, actually meeting you in the flesh.
Bummer.

Good luck on the move!

Well, here is the deal on the cat. She was a kitten to our Eliza last year. We have not seen her in over a month, and figured she had gone down the road to the village and found a home. You can imagine our surprise when we discovered her in the cupboard!

Yeah, things are chaotic, but I believe that is to be expected in any move to a degree. It is just the added chaos of the base disestablishment that is multiplying the situation geometrically.

And I am bummed to be leaving. I feel it keenly and do not want to go, but I knew this time would come so I just need to suck it up and deal. On the flip side, I am starting to get very excited about being with my family people again. I have not lived in Nashville since 1982, but of course have maintained close times there.

I am looking forward to being in an active SCA community again. I know that other groups here are going strong, but there is nothing in all of Cornwall. The closest fighter practice is somewhere over in Wales, next nearest is Basingstoke.

I will be back.
