Oh my god. I'm not done with this, cause I'm reading at work and guest will not stop coming up, but once I get home..for know I'll I can say is..With Eeteuk..gosh, he really does know how to play up his feelings and its sometimes forgotten. (example: Heecuhl's last Strong Heart)

Eeteuk has many, many feelings, of this I am sure! He tends to angst easily, after all. He just has a very persistently-cheerful public face. I'm not sure Han Geng likes that...

Enjoyed the story a lot. You're always just a wonderful writer. I got the contrasts too and some underlying themes. The plot was well fleshed out and especially liked the relationship dynamics present. It was challenging for me to see a more cynical side of Geng (I fell for his charms on chinese variety) but it played out beautifully into that twisted relationship with Mi.

Oh and Singapore <3 I was nodding along with the references and almost died when you mentioned ION and Orchard Road. I was expecting the durian to make an appearance though lol.

Keep on writing stories and extended author's notes. I love them okay. All the trivia and little details is just appeals to my curious nerdy side kk.

haha I'm glad all the notes and pointless trivia is interesting to someone besides myself! :D Thank you so much for this comment. I always think there is more to an idol than the happy-sweet public persona, so it was fun to explore this different angle of Han Geng.

Also! I love, love Singapore - except durian. I do not love durian. So I left it out of my fic! Sorry, durian...

GOD MEI THAT WAS AMAZING *____* you haven't lost your touch at all! gengmi is not a pairing i see in any sort of romantic/sexual way but the story was crafted superbly and i loved every word :'DDD this is probably the singaporean in me speaking, but i really really LOVED all the descriptions of singapore you put in - ahhhh marina bay sands i want all the boys to have sex in that stunning infinity pool okay D:

all in all, it was marvellous - their relationship dynamics were so realistic and reeled me right into the story. ♥ and also! marina square DOES have a ya kun shop - remember the place we went to and sat for hours talking about kibum's twitter and kihae etc the first time we met? that's ya kun! :DD ♥

I MISS YOU MUCHLY DDDD: and wth idk why my comment posted AGAIN wtf lj! >:(((

Thank you, bb. ♥ I don't really ship GengMi either, but it's a dynamic I've always wanted to explore more! So this fic was kind of an excuse to do that. :D

Ugh, Singapore, let me tell you how much I miss it. But the Marina Square website there was no Ya Kun! I don't remember it at all, haha. (We had so many endless discussions about loser Kibum!) I think I only remember the ones at Bugis and at NUS, since those were the ones I went to.

I'm so out of practice with writing but I hope to write more this year! In new fandoms! I feel so out of touch with kpop fandom and everyone still in it. D: /clings to you

If I try to say everything I liked about this fic, I fear I will miss something crucial that I should have pointed out. I'll just say I'm impressed. Wow. Style, emotion, bits of reality mixed in with bits of plausible speculative fiction, it just was a very long (I like long and completed) and worthwhile read.

I have to admit, one part of your notes made me laugh and nod my head, "Writing sex is hard." :D Agreed. I love reading it, I love imagining it ... but yes, writing sex is definitely hard. I envy those who do it easily and well. I think you did awesome with it. It was hot.

I'm still kind of only thinking wow. More intelligent or descriptive vocabulary seems to be elusive at the moment. >.< I'm just really glad you wrote this story and chose to post it where I could enjoy reading it. Thanks. =)

Thank you so much! I always love long (and completed!! WsIP drive me nuts) fics too, so I'm glad that part of this appealed to you. I didn't expect it to be that long when I was initially sketching it out, but as the outline filled itself in, I started to realize this wasn't a story that could be done justice in 2000 words... It was sort of fun, though, working on something longer for a change, over a period of time.

Writing sex is always hard. :( :( :( But thank you! It is gratifying to hear it went okay, haha.

Wow! So I just stumbled across this fic, and since I've been curious about other people's takes on Han Geng, I decided to read it! Best decision ever!! The relationship dynamics that you explored were phenomenal and really added depth to the story. I love how you diverted from the ubiquitous characterization of Han Geng as soft and gentle and maybe even a bit clueless, and instead gave him a deep, even tortured personality that really resonated with me. I also adored the contrasts you drew between Geng and Mi's personalities. I think a lot of us assume (myself included) that the two of them would have automatically been friends due their shared ethnicity and language, though this may not be the case. I'm curious though; in your amazing author's note, you said that Geng left and was unhappy, and I have to say, he seemed pretty resentful throughout the story. My question is: Why is Geng unhappy? It seems like he's accomplished his dream and has what he always wanted for himself, so why would he be so bitter ( ... )

Wow, thank you so much! :D I actually used the fic as a venue for exploring my own thoughts on GengMi’s relationship before and after SJM so I have lots of opinions I’m about to dump on you to answer your questions, sorry ( ... )

I approve of your usage of the term 'ubiquitous'.
