i've read this one three times over the course of yesterday and this morning, and idk how it gets sadder every time, but it does. You convey their feelings so perfectly and, ugh, I swear I am going to read it a forth time now because I love this to pieces.

Oh my gosh... that last part is so sad! I nearly cried myself :( Poor stubborn Altair and Malik... they are very similar... yet I like how you wrote about how Altair controls everything Malik does, even if he doesn't intend to. Probably a wise decision for Malik to leave... but it makes sense why Altair would be so... what's the word I'm looking for... Cold? Having been hurt and closing himself off to affection after that...

So sad though! T_T
