I've been in the city for about a week and half now, and I'm getting used to this whole shibang. It's crazy, and definitely NOT Santa Cruz (unsure if that is bad or good yet?). Things are getting easier, the bus routes are becoming familiar and not so scary. I'm thankful for my already city dwelling friends, for they help me get around

and i ran into mike the other day at the mall. we chatted for a teeny tiny bit and new year's came up. at the time, we both thought new year's eve fell on monday and were both bummed he would have to spend it at work. but! i checked my calendar afterwards and it's on a suunnnday! is that a better night for you two? curtis and i still don't have any plans...but if we could find more people in the same boat...we could all possibly ring in the new year together. :)
it was nice to read up on your city adventures...though i'm sorry you're still jobless. and yes...this time of year is horrible. with so much shopping to get done, it's hard NOT to find stuff for yourself...even harder to say no and put back whatever it is.
