And, hey, if taking exams was the only catch to getting free rides to school forever, I'd be okay with that. ;)

I hear you on the unrealistic consequences. My therapist has inadvertently been training me to ask myself: "What's the worst realistic thing that can happen here?" And when I really think about it, I find that, more often than not, the answer isn't totally horrible. Definitely not as bad as the twisted scenarios I have a tendency to imagine.

That's my tendency as well. I just need to keep telling myself that people aren't going to completely reject me if I ask a simple question or decide to focus on myself for a bit. That's really hard work. :)
