I first saw that game at the Metreon in SF. It was funny since it was a throwback to when people would gather around to see the latest video game being played, something I hadn't seen in years! I tried that (in front of the crowd) and it was just crazy! It's not really what I would call "dancing" but almost like "marching" since you had to "step" in the right place.
It's pretty cool, but it's a lot of work!
They have an advanced arcade version of the game, that's incredibly intense! It's cool to see a good player do it... I doubt I could ever be a DDR master.
Oooh!! DDR! I *so* envy people that rock at that game! I really want the home version, so I can jump around like a mongoloid and not be publically embarrased by the teens at the local anime shop! Heehee!
We tried it out in an arcade in Korea Town and I thought I was going to die of dorkdom after trying to figure out how to dance to the arrows. Now we have the tutorial, and most importantly, privacy!
