Jeff agrees to a night of babysitting. Of course that decision comes back to haunt him. Thus, Annie comes to save him not only from a crying baby, but also the growing loneliness inside of himself.

But then a slobbery baby and a wide-eyed cardigan-wearing twenty-something entered his apartment. And things changed.

I like this. I really, really like this. Damn this is good. I love the connection you make between them as people who've been alone their whole lives--not the obvious kind of alone. The more tragic kind. It's just beautiful. Really lovely fic.

Yay! So glad you liked. And yeah, the more I look at Jeff and Annie as characters, the more I see that they are literally designed for each other. There's these holes and gaps that they fill in each other's personalities, but also this mutual understanding on a lot of levels. Plus, the chemistry and the sex.

i think the link is actually legit. like, i think the both of them have this common link that drives all the way to the core of their being. and part of that is the idea that they've never really had friends. like, real friends. and for the first time in their life, they have obligations and feelings. like, real feelings. and they are feeling them together. so, yeah, they've got so many links.

anyways, so sorry to ramble. thanks for reading though! i'm glad you enjoyed! :D

This was excellent. Loved the theme of "alone" that links both J & A, and how it came to a head at the end.

so glad you liked it! i think the idea of "alone" works well with the two of them, because they are kind of lone wolves. they both think they are okay by themselves, but in actuality, they are so desperately needing people. and they kind of need each other. and it creates this weird tension. and IT'S AWESOME.

but yes. i love those two! thanks for reading, hon!
