So, you can buy just about anything and everything on DVD nowadays: porn, Barbie, old kung fu flicks. Chances are, if you look hard enough, you'll find something that'll float your boat.
Unless your boat happens to be an 80's cartoon that involved cheesy dialogue and stupid, yet funny characters that wore bad clothing and carried around weird looking computer devices that would now be rendered obsolete. Yes, I'm talking about Inspector Gadget. I'm not talking about the crappy movies, but the tv show that aired during the 80's and 90's. Come on, people, it was a class show. I hate the 80's with a passion, but the cartoons were some of the best ever. Gem, Captain N, random things with large robots, and other shows where badly animated characters wore crappy 80's clothes. These shows had a certain charm, unlike the crap that is now being spewed by cable tv.
Why in the world can't you buy Inspector Gadget DVD's? I'd be fairly certain a ton of 80's kids (now in their college years) would buy them. I sure as hell would. It'd be like a cult thing. It'd be like the new...American Idol, or whatever the hell's popular in American society today. I have no idea; I live in a small, windowless box.
But yes. We (children of the 80's, and possibly 70's) need Inspector Gadget. Now.
