So, back when I was in high school, I used to tutor at the local elementary school. This would have been in 2000, during the Bush vs. Gore elections. I hate politics. I should say I hate American politics, though my brief exposure to Korean politics didn't leave any positive feelings there. I hate the way the two party system conducts itself. I hate seeing politicians do nothing but toe the party line. I hate seeing results on a vote being split 95% down party lines.
Palin exudes this party line. For some reason, a somewhat moderate individual (though he's toeing the line now, it seems) got the GOP nod, so they needed that extreme right hand needle. What better way to do that, and add the non-traditional sympathy vote along with it, than Palin. It hasn't been policy for some time, it's who's going to get the party in the White House.
I generally lean left, but man, I don't like either one, to be honest with you.
