Disgusted.

Admittedly, I need to catch up a bit but I just simply cannot believe the end scene from Persuassion (Smallville's last ep). I just. How did that even air? How is anyone supposed to (or I should say, "still") buying this is the "real" Clark Kent? Whom even thought this plotline was a good idea? Part of me isn't even shocked they want an s10 and ( Read more... )

Yeah, it was pretty shocking. Actually, the only thing I'm shocked is that some viewers could look at an angry, dressed in black Clark burning down towers over innocent civilians and think that was Superman. The guy was standing over the city like an overlord.

Furthermore, I think it's telling that Clark's become all brawns now that he's moved away from Chloe's brains.

YES! HE WAS TOTALLY OUR EVIL ALIEN OVERLORD.

I, FOR ONE, WANT OUR SPARKLY ALIEN JESUS BACK.

Clark's become a thug. It's not just a lack of brains - it's a lack of HEART. I can count on my hand the amount of times I think I've seen emotional empathy from Clark this year. ONE HAND. From the version of Clark whom over-empathized with EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.

"You don't give Superman a black latex suit with an S shield that comes off and forms daggers and things like that. That's just not who Superman is."

I HAVE NO IDEA.

It made me LOL because it's like "Smallville, how are you getting this SO WRONG?"

Talking about how much Dark Superman sucks makes me want to rewatch Kevin Smith's rant on the subject.

Greatest thing ever.

I'd love to start #NoMoreDarkClark honestly.

I would love a title like that, honestly.

If we got a headline like that, it'd be nice because it would be an actual acknowledgement that this IS dark!Clark. I'm tired of guessing and hoping. I need some confirmation on the part of the writers at this point.

I don't think it's a guess, but I've not thought that since Roulette. What I would like is some forward movement. Okay! He's bad! Now what is anyone going to DO about it?!

I said it before, it's a shame that teenage Clark knew more about the difference between right and wrong more than this "adult" Clark does. That's character regression, not progression.

I didn't watch the ep, but after reading what happened, Clark is neither awesome nor heroic. He's acting like a rebellious child drunk on his own power and self righteousness.

At this point, I really hope Allison just runs away from this train wreck. She's too good of an actress to be associated with this crap.

The thing is it feels like purposeful regression from last year. I'm sure there is a why. Going "Kryptonian" was not what he needed, and was never what he needed (almiles comments in part 9 are love).

I think trainwreck is still an oversimplification. It's not like they don't KNOW what they are fliming. The difference is they are doing it on purpose; they think it's clever and it's mythosy (check the spoiler news for where the arc is probably going) but it's not. It's not a useful look into Clark's other halves as Exodus or Crusade put out there. It's just dull.

I'm sure the point is to set up some reason why Superman has to be a PUBLIC hero. I just wish they had come up with some reason that didn't mean throwing Clark down a deep dark hole to climb out of.

Yeah I heard about it in Austin at the time and crossed my fingers for you.

I don't think there is anything that could be considered over-identification, hon.

It's FAR beyond lousy and the turn around to getting real Clark back has to be BEYOND epic at this point. The further they take him off path the better the resolution has to be. I keep wondering if they are doing it this way because too many people tried to excuse the disgustingness that was Kandor. IDK.

Glad you're Ok, that guy was nuts and don't even get me started on his daughter calling him a hero. I understand that no matter what he's her dad and she will always love him but that's not heroic, he killed 1 person and injured 12 others.

Plus you add in the guy caught in NY with explosives and another terrorist plot...it's just a bad week for this kind of crap.
