With hiring freezes, weird professor rotation rules, and straight-out FAIL. We don't even have one this semester. And possibly not next semester either. Seriously! I mean, there have been undergrad classes, but not grad ones. Lame.

But...but...but Shakespeare is one of those major figures that you should have, AT THE VERY LEAST, have once every three semesters! Are other major figures/classes getting the same treatment?

Are any of the undergrad ones 400 level courses? If so, do they count to your degree (I had to take a 400 level American lit class because it's all that was offered and it counted).

Yes and no. We've had some sorta repeated courses (especially Caribbean lit--because that's the only new person we've hired), and the department largely specializes in American and Victorian. There was one last semester that I sat in on, but it was JUST Hamlet. I probably should have just taken it anyway, but the department keeps teasing us with the possibility of a grad level.
