This was very nice. I like the 'letter to Santa' and Hotch realizing that he and Jack both want the same thing. And Emily discovering 'her boys' sound asleep on the couch with the Christmas lights flashing on the tree. I hope they can make it work, I like the softer side of Aaron Hotchner. Thanks for sharing this.

I think your icon goes very well with with my story - although obviously that would be Emily's Christmas letter, not Jack's. ;)

And thank you for your review and kind words. I too hope that Hotch and Emily can make it work. It just seemed like, for both of them, this could really be a Christmas wish.

This is a very sweet little piece. Love the beginning....had to laugh with Jack asking how to spell Santa, Daddy, Miss Emily.

Thank you. The whole "how do you spell . . ." is a conversation I've had with both my kids on many occasions, so it was easy to imagine Jack asking Hotch those questions. I'm glad that made you laugh.

Jack is so adorable...I just imagine him making backwards S's and it makes me smile like you wouldnt believe. I love the sweetness of this story and how Emily just shows up and they're asleep on the couch. I smiled the whole time I was reading it : )

Being a parent, I was able to model him after my own son who is now a bit older. But I've definitely had those "daddy, how do you spell . . ." conversations before, and they're so very cute. Especially when they're concentrating so hard, and the word ends up being half backwards. Kids really are so adorable.

Thanks for your review. I appreciate your taking the time, and I'm very glad that I was able to paint that picture in your head. :)

I remember when my boys were Jack's age and this story almost made me long for those days. I know we probably all think Jack's nearly a perfect kid, but he really is so adorable!!! And even though my kids are 17 and 21, I STILL have those, "how do you spell...." moments with them! LOL

Thanks for this. I want the same thing for Hotch and Jack that they want for themselves!! Emily!!

Well, mine are now 10 and 7, so I'm DEFINITELY still having those "how do you spell ..." moments. It also made it a bit easier to remember for writing Jack. Glad I was able to bring back those memories though. :)

I think we're all agreed that Emily is the perfect Christmas thing for Jack and Hotch.

I'm totally in love with this christmas story!:)
You really did a great job!

I'm also a mum of a nearly 5 years old daughter, and she now can write her own name, but of course she wants to write also others, and its indeed very cute, when she tries to write it down.:)

Merry Christmas!
