I hate the term OOC so I would never use it to describe them in this. The point of fic is to be able to push the boundaries, show the characters in a different light, or just lighter period. I think this piece exhibits that quite well. The outfit sounds like just the right thing to get Aaron Hotchner off his game and the mind trick he plays on her about the couch or the desk made me laugh out loud. But it wsa only a little joke because he definitely wants to get some alone time with her.

“Don’t ever wear that sweater to work again, unless you really do want to choose between this couch and my desk.”
--I love this line. And I love that Emily actually glowers at him and that Hotch actually glares at himself in the mirror. That's a really adorable thought that he practices his "intimidating" face.

You're right. The whole "OOC" thing isn't really appropriate here, so I've reworded my note. I really am just pushing the boundaries of characterisation.

And that was my thinking of the red sweater - Emily wears it obviously to get a reaction from Hotch, and she definitely does! Whether they're in a relationship before this happens or not, is somewhat immaterial, because the sweater definitely triggers something in Hotch. :)

I really liked the concept of Hotch not only practising his glares, but labelling and numbering them as well, which is why I put it in. I think it's great that you enjoyed that.

--This is classic. Have you ever seen Zoolander? I can just imagine Hotch practicing his "blue steel". I am going to laugh for the rest of the night thinking about that : D

She definitely knew she would get a rise out of him, that's why she glared at him when he put the files on the table by the couch. Especially after he had touched her the way he did. Hotch was a total tease on that one. But I guess it was payback for how she made him feel all day.

I haven't, but I really don't put Hotch in quite that same category. ;) Happy to be able to make you laugh about that though.

Of course he was! But he had to get some enjoyment after having a seven hour meeting from hell with Strauss. There's also the fact that he was almost late for a meeting because he couldn't get up from behind his desk! That certainly would warrant some payback!! :)

You should "push the boundaries" more often. It's simply TPTB's fault for not giving us good things like this! I'll definitely go read Emily's POV, since more is so definitely in order!

I enjoy "pushing the boundaries", and have written two more stories in the series. They're just not posted here on LJ yet. I'll get there, eventually.

And yes, totally TPTB's fault for not giving us some Hotch/Prentiss loving in the series!

Nice icon, BTW. :)

I found (and commented on) them on FF.net. They're lovely. Do the two of you have plans beyond the five existing stories?

Indeed!

Thank you. delgaserasca made it.

We haven't talked about it in any specific terms, but we definitely intend to have more stories. The way it usually works is that something one of us writes inspires the other. Currently the ball is supposed to be in Sienna27's court, but she's had some hardware issues of late, so not sure what her plans are.
