Adia's trips to the Nexus are fairly regular these days. It's not always easy to slip away from New Caprica, but at least her duties are on a schedule. Even the union meetings she attends with her chemist friend (more than a friend now -- his charming smile and passionate demeanor have almost pushed out a certain Cylon from her mind) are fairly

I'm pleased that my book is repaying further reading. Icebergs are strange and slippery things - when we were stationed in the Hydris system I went through a phase of fascination with them. Unfortunately few of the results met my satisfaction, but I'm attached to those which did.
Though I can't recall any individuals by that name, I would be curious to meet Scrapmetal myself. I take it you found him agreeable company.
We may meet again very soon indeed. I am planning to return to the Nexus, perhaps with a question or two in mind. Though I may also bring my brothers in my wake, so you must be warned.

I don't think you two are from the same universe, because he is still fighting the Autobots. He was friendly enough to me, despite hearing a lot of bad things about humans. I'm glad that I gave him a chance, and I suppose I have you to thank for that.
He did mention an invention of his that allows him to reprogram Autobots to follow his commands. Have you heard of something like this? I'll admit it didn't sit well with me.
I'll keep an eye out for you! If I can't be there in person, I'll try to send a text. I promise to be careful if you bring your brothers.

It's yourself you should credit, Adia. In the short time I've known you, you've done a great deal to overcome your fears. I'm pleased to have played a role in that, but it has always come down to your courage and your strength of will.
Reprogramming I know of, but not specific devices to enable one to do so. It's not something widely practised, or spoken of. Those who do specialise in such things tend to have their own idiosyncratic methods, and I haven't concerned myself with them much. Not while they take Autobots. Still, an unpleasant topic for you to stumble upon.
then I'll look forward to your company, in body or spirit! And the others will certainly mind their behaviour. If not, perhaps, their vocalisers...

Adia reads and re-reads the second paragraph many times before continuing her reply. It makes her feel about as proud as she can remember herself being in quite a while, and takes the discomfort out of the third paragraph.
Thank you, Oceanglide. Your words mean a lot to me. I don't know how things would have turned out if I had met another non-organic person first. I'm glad it was you.
Scrapmetal did not quite seem to grasp how creepy that would sound to a human, but he tried to reassure me when I explained that someone close to me had been reprogrammed in a way. It's not like I'm in a position to cast aspersions, considering what humans have done to one another in wartime.
I'll try not to take anything personally. Just make sure they haven't had too much energon beforehand!
