Well, her parents did indeed come to visit and it did indeed suck monkey balls. And the single most maddening part of that is everything that was a problem could have been avoided with communication and simple common sense ( Read more... )

It boggles the mind, that whole story. And what exactly was she getting at about you not having money? Was she offering to get you stuff? Because that's the only way it's any of her business. Well at least this is out of the way and won't have to be dealt with again for a long time, once you are far, far away.

You're really coming out at a lovely time. Aside from it being the start of allergy season, it's just so gorgeous here in spring, and by then the rain will have mostly stopped too.

All I can think is, poor Renee. She -- you both -- deserve so much better than that. It always makes me so sad when family should know better, and doesn't. :( Yay for the box though. And YAYYAY for getting out here. We'll probably have to have a "yay you're here!" get together celebration once you arrive (and crash).
