We have an apartment in Eugene! Yay!!!!!

The second choice apartment (never heard from the douche running the first choice again, didn't return phone calls or anything, rotten asshole), but at this point who cares. After all the drama, we have a fucking lease!!! Yay!!!

The place will be empty on the sixteenth. Maybe before that, but at this point we ( Read more... )

Eh, its starting to look like that plan won't happen, some stupidity about having to leave a day later than we wanted to because we need to bring a lot of baggage with us and can only do that on special days (post is being edited to reflect crap).

That is so maddening! Get all the way to the end, now I have to wait until late fall at earliest to see the final three hours. Grrrr!!!!!

hulu.com has them up as they air, and they stay up for a few weeks, so that'll always be an option, if you get internet access shortly after you move.

It might be a while waiting for Comcast, so we might miss that. Plus, our computer seriously sucks and really isn't any good for watching stuff. However, my mother might be willing to record it all and ship it over for us, so all may not be lost. :-)

(yeah, no pun intended)

Yay, congratulations! Can't believe you'll be here so soon.

When you get a chance, could you shoot me an email with your new address? I can help figure out the neighborhood for you in advance (like where to get groceries, that sort of thing). And I'm curious. I think I know where it is, but may be remembering wrong.

Also, probably doesn't need to be said, but let me know as soon as you know for sure about when you're arriving, and about the cats. Want to have as much time as possible to juggle things around if necessary. (The only day that is totally off limits is the 20th.)

Um, hey, did you realize that May 17 is the 4th of the lunar month? Ha!

Of course it is. :-P

(no, I didn't know, but all things considered, I'm not sure why I should be even a tiny bit surprised)

Congrats on the new place!

Just a thought - if you'll have internet access, you may not have to miss those episodes of Lost. Chances are they're available online. That's how I watched 24 while I was in VA last month. New episodes are usually availabe within a day or 2 of airing. I can relate to the "what comes next" thing - 24 is the only show I've really followed for years, & it's got 4 hours left. When it's over...well there's always books.

I used to really love 24, up until the end of season five anyway. When it was good, it was impossible to wait for. Lost is much the same way.

Our computer is pretty terrible so that might not be an option, but if it is, how long do those episodes stay available usually? We will probably not be able to bring the TV or the computer on the train with us, we'll have to wait for the moving company to bring them and then it might be weeks afterward to get Comcast to actually come out and activate our service. It could be a while before we even have a chance.

They're available for months, so they'll be there when you're able to access them. No worries. On the subject of 24, you might want to consider checking out season 7...amazingly, stupendously awesome. It may have been the best ever.

Lemme know when you need a ride to DC. I can come get you guys in Art's car.

I'm glad you're getting out of here! If I could move West, I totally would!

Appreciate the offer, but we would need to be out there pretty early in the morning. We think we worked it out, but if it turns out the woman we talked to was stupid about everything, good to know there might be another option.

You should move out west! Follow suit, after you've done what you need to do here. :-)
