11 days later - out of a pointless funk into a reasonable one

Jan 18, 2009 02:04

Here it is, at nearly 2:20am. I am updating my livejournal for the first time in 11 days! Last time I updated, it was slightly less late than this, and I was in a crazy funk. But I am no longer in said funk, and actually haven't been since I woke up after actually going to bed that night. Well, that's good news ( Read more... )

Poor Bonnie Muffin! She is the first ferret I ever loved!
You most likely qualify for free birth control, if you check out your local Public Health Department. Also, planned parenthood??
Lemme know, I would be interested in what you find.
YOur current income would allow that to be free here in Asheville.

Can you get Metro PCS in portland, or are you stuck with At&t like we are? (incidentally, that means talking to you on the cell phone would be FREE, any time, if your interested we could swap digits)

And lastly, I kinda remember you not being a stranger to tea. Do you allready do the raspberry tea leaf thing, to help your monthly cycles be more gentle?

Hugs
Misha

Rasberry leaf? Does that help?
I am another sufferer of evil periods. Though taking birth control bills on a 4 month cycle has helped a lot. Or, at least, spread the symptoms out in a more manageable way.

Misha's a nurse so I believe her about a lot of health things. I was on the 4 month cycle like you were too, until I got my new doctor this past summer, then he changed my routine and was all sorts of dumb. Now that I'm in Portland, though, I need to find a different new doctor, and hopefully will get one that will let me skip as many cycles as I can! ^_^;

I looked at the Planned Parenthood website for Portland and they seem oddly expensive? I don't know if that's only because I haven't gone in and explained my situation, though. I came across a sign at a bus stop yesterday for the department of health here and I think I will look into whether or not I can get free no-babies pills.

I don't know if I can get Metro PCS, I haven't really looked into it. Free mobile to mobile is one reason I'm considering sticking with AT&T - my Dad, my boyfriend, and at least 2 of my really good friends are on AT&T... and you, too, apparently! I think we should definitely exchange #'s... Actually I thought we had a (long) while ago, but I'm sure I lost the phone your # was in because I certainly don't have it now.

I love tea but I've never even been recommended raspberry tea for harsh periods before. I'll definitely be looking into it, thank you!

Take a hot bath, have some chicken soup and vitamin C and sleep for as much of the time between now and Thursday as you can manage.
Get well for starting your new job.

You know, I've been meaning to do the hot bath thing (and the vitamins) for the past few days, but I haven't quite gotten around to it At least I've been getting a lot of sleep, even if I haven't been going to bed early (bad Laura). As for chicken soup - thanks for the thought but I'm currently vegetarian. I have been eating lots of veggie soup, though, and drinking some echinacea (sp? too lazy to look it up) tea. Thanks for the advice and the get well wishes... I'm tryin'! :)

i've had a prepaid phone before, and if you're consistently using that few minutes, it could well be worth it.

i hate money.... it seems like i'm roughly in the same boat you are when it comes to monthly expenses. it sucks hardcore. good luck sweetie, let me know your secrets!
