everybody agrees that I win for the Worst Week Ever. But I got a shiny new computer out of it! Now I'm morally debating pirated software. Thoughts?

If I keep getting tied up in school and forgetting to eat, I'm going to be swimsuit-skinny for winter break! Who kept buying me subscriptions to YM during my formitive years?

Pirate, but feel guilty while doing it. That'll make it up to them in the long run.
A fistfull of guilt is worth two pence in the bush as I always say.

But seriously, how do they expect students to purchase software? Like graphics students here need Photoshop and Maya, and Digital Cinema majors need Final Cut Pro among other programs. Photoshop CS2 runs for $555, Final Cut Pro costs around $1,000, and Maya Unlimited 7 can run around $7,000.

For most of the students it's not really up for debate, and instead pirated software cds get passed around on the second class to any student that doesn't have the latest edition.
