Typical Love Triangle

I absolutely hate love triangles in dramas. I know they are very useful in filling up the plot line, but frankly, they are annoying. At the moment, I am watching Goong and actually enjoying it a bit even though I usually have a disdain for Korean dramas. I started watching it because I was going to upload it for the drama site that elisa and I are ( Read more... )

bwa heheeh! i love love triangles in the end, but it's true to be easier to be a fan of yul :)
it makes so much more sense to end up with the second guy in real life though... i think :S

Yeah I know what you mean. I hate how they're always so set in stone. For one because, I would LOVE to see the main char with the other guy. And secondly, it takes away a lot of the suspense or shock-value, since you know who she'll end up with <<;;; So predictable, it bores me to tears.

Guh, stupid love triangles :/. I'd say it's only useful if they did something like main char likes guy A who likes girl B, cuz then there'd be some nice angst, but yeah... they actually kinda achieved that in Full House, but in that case it was more of a messed up love square ._.;;; And why is it that it's never a guy choosing between girls? *shrugs hopelessly*

Guys never choose the girls because guys aren't the ones who watch this stuff... They have their harem animes.

A female lead best corresponds to a female audience as somewhat of 'let's fantasize being in her situation' thing. But I don't think they would feature an overly romantic guy as the main character since it may turn off some of the female viewers because we love our dark, brooding, mysterious men (soh sexy no ?). Anyway, even if he were to choose the girl, it would be a pretty obvious choice in that situation too.

I want to see a show where Girl A and Boy A are a couple who don't get along. But this time, it's Girl A who's being the nasty person. Boy B is Boy A's close friend and comforts him in his time of need. Then at the end, instead of patching things up with Girl A, Boy A runs off with Boy B. That would be a great twist, ne ?

rofl. Naturally, it's our dream come true. Too bad it's too scandalous to film despite how marketable it would probably be in actuality. Well, cross your fingers XD...
