grandma's been sick and it's as if her physical condition has given her excuse to release all that anger and bitter feeling repressed from days and days of seeming perfectly normal since she was last sick. and i hate to undermine her pain/suffering but it's really ridiculous. she's sick yet she keeps walking about the house, cleaning, insisting on ( Read more... )

its really strange about your grandmother, because my russian granny is much the same way. what you said about "thriving on pain". yeaaah. i think she likes being in pain because it shows her struggle? she likes to cook and clean no matter what. i dont know, but its weird! kind of like grandmothers are weird.

it seems the only kinds of grandmothers who like pain are chinese, russian, and/or jewish. pain's easiest to feel, it's one of those annoying tendencies we suffer from. i think they work a lot to compensate for sitting around a lot because when you're old that's all you can do.

'hugs' to you, a friend of mine has had a similar poblem with a relative, ride it, and enjoy the good times.
i skipped school too and i'm the teacher!! i thought mine was the true 'hell hole' but you may be right
