I boil eggs only infrequently. For some reason, though, whenever I do, in my head I hear Wallace telling Gromit, "I'll have a three-minute egg," and his British accent gives him great imaginary-voice authority, so I always assume that three minutes is the appropriate length of time to boil an egg
